I feel much better today and so does my family. I am happy to be motivated to clean!
I can do much more than I could for almost a week, which dragged out and felt like 2 weeks. I feel like normal and that is so good.

Mark, my son-in-law, is almost always willing to help me- and he usually ASKS if I need help. Mark saw me walk into the hose with groceries, and asked if he could help. ♥️ He stopped what he was working on to come out in the drizzle to help me.
We connected. 😊 I was given the opportunity to say “yes” to help. I did not have to make a third trip to the car to carry in Tue heaviest of the items.

It was hard to choose between specific experience or a privilege.
I was struggling with meditation and prayer this morning. I was not feeling super connected and felt very distracted with chores and responsibilities that were waiting for me. I ended my prayer with expressing sorrow about the disconnect and distractions, and also expressed a desire to connect. I decided to quickly read a daily devotional from a book called “Daily Joy” by Russell M. Nelson. The scripture shared made me feel a thing- I felt a tug, a connection. I decided to write a little in my journal about the scripture and feeling.
WOW! I felt an outpouring of love and information! Hi felt and still feel such joy and energy right now!
It may sound crazy to some- and I get it, but this isn’t a still true-
I believe in personal revelation!! I feel so connected to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I am grateful for this experience of feeling disconnected, expressing the desire to be connected, and having such a quick response to that expression. I am grateful for scriptures, and how easily the can be accessed. I am grateful for this challenge, and an additional place to express my gratitude.
The scripture I mentioned: Doctrine and Covenants 137:9
Connection, I ncrease in faith, positive energy.

I’m so grateful for having a Sunday morning to collect myself, take things slow, and figure my way through a couple of situations and deliverables today.
It’s giving me the reflection time I need that I have been lacking at points this week.

I had an interest experience while meditating and praying. I recognized an answer to prayer.
I feel more connected to my Heavenly Father. I feel a broadening of my understanding.

I have been working with this person on some difficult issues. This person thanked me for my help, consistency and patience.
It warmed my heart and it surprised me. It made me think that what I do might make a difference.

I offered to make dinner.
I felt happy. I am not a great cook, but there are a few dishes that I like to make. I get excited when
people like something that I made.

Yesterday I had to get an emergency haircut, and my mom waited the entire time. We got home around 7 and we were both so tired.
I'm thankful that my mom was patient with me and is a good conversationalist

It has been a long while since I've felt positive feelings by sitting and recalling simple accomplishments, activities or "good things" that have occurred in the day. Grateful for the good feelings. Grateful that this activity that has brought some measure of pleasure in the past is doing the same now.

My friend started a ladies Spiritual group, and asked me to be a part of it. Wonderful group of 4 other women.
We all will have great support, some also new to this State, like me. Like minded people, helping one another

I love to watch this tree outside my home... It is home to so many birds, including hummingbirds who dart in and out all day long. It's a buzzing factory for the bees, and a feast for the eyes with its furry little blossoms that glow in the sunlight.
Communing with this tree reminds me of how basic things really are: shelter, food, sunlight, life. It grounds me.
A large deciduous green tree with creamy golden furry blossoms stands against a vivid blue sky. A hummingbird darts off to the right of the tree.

Reached out to me on Linkin as a fellow CSUCI alumni. She is a CPA candidate and I asked about how she came to pursue her career choice. I shared mine and told her we were hiring if she was interested in our firm. Great friendly connection and completely unexpected.
Felt increased connection to my university and community.

My son's mother, Shelly, has early onset dementia. I don't feel even a tiny bit grateful for anything connected to this experience, which has shaped our lives and possibilities for more than ten years. However, I've found during the past few months that my depression over this event has started to slide into sadness, and my anger is starting to look more like grief. I seem to be more able to say the words "early onset dementia" aloud and talk about it in a more matter-of-fact fashion. In other words, though I have good days and bad days, just like Shelly does, it seems I am becoming more accepting of the situation. We're heading into the holidays and Shelly will be staying with us through Christmas (she splits her time between living with us and with her father in Hawaii). I can't say that I feel grateful for that; Liko and I struggle much more to get through our days when she's here. But being in this somewhat more settled place seems to help me to better support them and help them to negotiate their own grief. I'm grateful for that, for what it's worth.

Watching out for my health and well-being even though she is sick
As always, I am grateful to my daughter and her family and this is especially true as we all try to navigate sickness in our house.
A n d this has made me able to rest a very great amount, so that I seem to be getting better quickly.

I felt sick yesterday but better than the day before. I am allowing this 3am entry bc the 11 am drop is a bit late. Anyway I played with my granddaughter and it was wonderful.
Encouraged me to carry on and just try to get better.

Not one person, but a whole organization. I am grateful toward UAW, which is a nation-wide union, for stepping up to voice the concerns of the members. The union is striving to get fair contracts from UC for academic workers. Uniting to voice concern does not even seem possible in many other states.
The union's effort made me participate in the strike and feel hopeful that a change is possible.
A strike sign that reads "UAW on strike. Unfair labor practice."

I volunteered to do their task as I saw then cutting the thin shim plate wrongly. After cutting all 8 sheets which more straight and squared, I handed then their requirement in the least possible time and in the most safest way.
Grateful . . . . someone in need who is not normally doing the task can have accident if they are not careful with how they are doing the task. Volunteering for the task gives me assurance that the task will be safe and injury free.

I walked into my morning meeting and she had a cup of tea sitting at my spot. She brought the tea from home and made it at work for us both.
It made me feel appreciated and important and made my meeting that much better with every sip.
