I ordered two interesting and quite different books, and they should arrive in the mail today. Specifically, I ordered "The Savage Tales of Solomon Kane," and "Prelude to Mathematics."
I'm excited to read them, especially since I've mainly been reading comic books and these books consist of a novel and a nonfiction book, respectively.

I am very thankful that my daughter just gave birth to a healthy 9 pound baby boy!!! Thank God everything went as expected!

I did all of my homework for the week in one day yesterday.
This is an achievement for me, since I used to have a habit of waiting until the last minute to do my assignments, and I'm quite proud. It also gives me some more free time.

My copy of Mark Millar's "Wolverine: Enemy of the State," came in the mail yesterday.
I've been waiting for this to come for a while, and I'm excited to finally have it and be able to read it.

I watched a short film on YouTube called "096." It was based on the SCP mythos, which is one of my favorite fandoms, and it was a brilliant film that I really enjoyed.
Watching the short film was a great experience and it kept me enthralled for the whole runtime.

My neighbor across the hall once again had me over earlier this evening. One thing we did was watch an episode of Jerry Seinfeld complete with audio description. The person doing the audio description was someone whose name I have come across online, and she does a nice job.
He knows exactly what I need to benefit from television and movies.

Lately, I've been making a point to do my homework assignments more in advance, as opposed to doing them last minute like I used to.
This has been making me feel less stressed and has given me more free time.

I found a very nice song, called "Here for You", by an artist named Kygo, who I'm otherwise unfamiliar with.
The song is beautiful and I took some time to listen to it again last night, which was nice.

I was having a very rough night last night, and my brother came up to me and told me that he is there for me and that I'm welcome to hang out with him whenever I want or need to. He also said that he enjoys talking with me because I seem to always have something new to tell him.
He reassured me that I can spend time with him, which is good because I often felt too much like I was intruding or something along those lines if I went to see him.

I am grateful to be able to live in the beautiful Bay Area, despite all of the challenges that come with living here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

I was looking out my back window this morning and it hit me "this was my dream for my entire childhood and young adulthood" - a house. And look where I live now!! Of course I have thought about how grateful I am for this beautiful gift I have been given many times through the years, but not recently. Needed that reminder.
I found myself digging through old photos to find a photo of the house - always nice to look through photos (we have taken thousands over the years) and saw how this house has been such a blessing for my entire family. And my friends as well, we have received many complements over the years about how welcoming we are to everyone - a lot of parties, gatherings, sleep overs.... Being able to share this wonderful house has been a big added bonus. This house has indeed been the gift that keeps giving.

Today was rough. Not going to lie.... I know what it is. I'm getting super annoyed by how much time my wife spends with her family. It's constant. It's 24/7. It's all day, every day. It never ends. Her mom if in the phone with her so the flipping time.
So it's a little hard to find something to be thankful for. But it is that today I made $80+ dollars in about 3 hours.

I feel grateful that Jen McGinlay took time to work with me and show me what she was doing on Sharepoint.
It is much easier to learn when I am going through it with someone else.

I am grateful for my health, the easy traffic this morning on the way to work, the light (as we're coming out of winter), and all the nice bird sounds. I am grateful that my dad isn't upset with me about mixing up my schedule and us having to reschedule dinner tentatively planned for this week.
I feel easy, relaxed, and calm as I continue my morning and beginning of the work day.

I was able to help my colleague with a tricky oxygen case she was working on. I helped her think through the challenge, and plan the next steps.
It felt great, I felt appreciated and a part of our team.

I started listening to a podcast called "Ologies with Alie Ward."
It's about various niche sciences and fields of study / expertise, and listening to these experts talk about their passions helped me to realize that it's possible to find excitement and wonder in the real world.

I am so grateful to have such a wonderful and supportive wife! She has always been there for me for over 34 years! I love her with all my heart. She is my greatest blessing from God!
