Last week a friend invited my personal assistant and I out to dinner at a nearby restaurant. So last night we got together, and we had a nice time.
The 3 of us had fun chatting and listening to live music. Our meals were tasty as well.

Just last night, I and my neighbor across the hall were invited next door for some conversation and food. The next-door neighbors are moving out very soon.
They're all great people, and my pancake was tasty. I will thank them in due course.

My dog was so excited to see me when I came home from a week away. His eyes grew bigger when he saw me. He jumped over the couch to get to me, wagged his tail, rubbed up against me, went through my legs back and forth, jumped up to kiss me, and had a huge smile on his face.
He made me feel so good about myself and so happy to have him in my life.

A friend called me this morning to check in and see how I was doing. She brightened my day. Silly thing is I was feeling “rejected” by my cat who scratched me and wouldn’t let me touch her. She’s typically very affectionate. Maybe she has a headache too.
Got me away from thinking of myself.

A next-door neighbor came knocking on my front door this morning before work. I told him to please come in, and he brought me a wrapped piece of cake baked by a friend of his.
I ate it at lunch today and it tasted very good. I then thanked my next-door neighbor via text message.

Grateful to have happened to look out the plane at the exact moment we flew over the grand canyon. What a site!
Especially grateful for the awe-inspiring, perspective-giving experience of a safe flight as I still work to manage anxiety with flying.

She suggested I request a Guide for my BLE journey. I love that! We will also become non-scheduled buddies and also do Marco Polo messages.
I’m afraid of getting stuck. I am staying afloat but I am dog-paddling - I don’t swim. I don’t like the feeling of struggling and lack of confidence I feel doc-paddling. Is this how it feels because I want to swim - glide through maintenance and it’s adventure - and enjoy them.

Today was a surprisingly wonderful day. Over the last decades, I have not done or particularly welcomed anything to celebrate my birthday, but out of the blue, a near stranger invited me and my wife to go bicycling. He did not know that today was my birthday. Met his wife and young daughter and beautiful friends and their young daughters. Had an absolutely wonderful time of cycling the Discovery Trail, acting as an informal guide, and getting much needed social connection and many pleasant conversations. This is a rural area, and I miss city life. I was surprised how good this was, and I felt very much accepted in spite of the significant difference in our ages.

I just feel grateful when I interact with him that I have him in my life. I feel grateful that we love each other and that we get along and stay in touch.
It was not an action that benefited me as much as a feeling and an ease of kindness and love for each other.
