Thank you, nurses! This has been a difficult time for all of us but especially for healthcare professionals like you. So from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for being brave and for helping others! Sending you strength, peace, and love to you all. You are the real superheroes! <3

Thank you nurses for all you do! You jump in to help and take on difficult work to help us heal, grieve, and recover. Your role is essential and we need you. We appreciate you!

I’m grateful for having the day off today and getting to spend time with my roommate as we’ve both worked or had other obligations recently and haven’t been able to have 1 on 1 time together.
This benefit me by being able to get out of the house with out worrying about school or work. I haven't had a full day off from anything in awhile so it felt really good.

Grateful to see some old Edmonton photos posted by friend/ acquaintance. Grateful I suppose that I have lived this long to be able to appreciate the memories he posted pictures evoke.
Appreciated the memories stirred by the photos posted.

giving myself a "pause" to recollect. Taking time for myself.
I do not feel as rushed to move on to the next thing. Taking a moment of pause is a gift.

I am grateful for the crisp warmth of the autumn sun on my face, shoulders, heart, as I sit and eat a juicy orange on my lunch break. I am grateful for the book Finding the Mother Tree to read outside the chaos of Covid in the hospital.
Fresh air and fresh food rejuvenate my body and my self. Reading re-centres me.

I feel grateful for the lovely walk I went in with the adolescents at the hospital
It opened up my lungs, made me laugh, and I felt for a few moments less stress and responsibility and less busy just being outside the hospital and focusing on a walk

I finally was selected to be a seasonal reader for a college. This is something I have always wanted, but was never chosen until yesterday. I am so excited for this new learning experience.
It will help me learn more about this college, the lives of others and for my students in the long run.

I registered for the « run for the cure » race.
I was happy to be able to convey my feelings because even if I am not talkative and living far away and that I cannot help her with her cancer, I really care. It seems she understood it.

A patient came to ask for a 1:1 with me.
It helped validate the way in which I had been trying to establish a therapeutic relationship with this person had perhaps started to work.

I saw this T-shirt with misspelled French on it. It is quite common in Japan. I smiled for the mistakes but also for the nice message that was conveyed : (in an not great English) be the life full of love and smiles.
My grandfather was always saying that life is beautiful. It was a nice reminder.

Here's another "weird" thing I appreciate: How this website (thnx4) is organized. I'm a little nerdy, and I occasionally look at statistics and graphs. When I look at my Insights, I'm reminded of sources of gratitude I sometimes forget.
All those pie graphs and bar graphs actually help me be more mindful of opportunities to either be more appreciative or (and this is much harder) pat myself on the back when someone else appreciates me.
