I'm so incredibly grateful for great aides at my work. Being a travel nurse can be rough, especially finding support sometimes. But the aides I have worked with the past few months are beyond amazing. They really go above and beyond to make residents feel at home, and they make me miss home a little less.
By doing their job meticulously, it allows me to do my job better.

Receive a letter from IRS indicating I had not filed 2020 taxes yet. I was able to resolve the issue in a couple of yours. Because of Covid, the IRS is that far behind in processing mailed in claims. They confirmed they have received it and the form sent was a computer-generated form which I can ignore.
Relief and self-satisfaction knowing it was the IRS's fault not mine.

I have so many things to be grateful for right now: B.A.B. for fixing my car and making it safe and drivable again; for D's ability to listen to me and understand the challenges of the past several months; and to A for being patient, steady and gentle with me during this global pandemic & our stuck place.

I helped to create a wonderful birthday for my daughter, who turned 25 yesterday.
This daughter has had a difficult time managing her expectations in birthdays past, and so I wanted to help her to think about how she would like her day to be this year.
I wanted to allow her to make her own decisions about her day, but also to help her figure out what she really wanted out of the day.
My daughter had a lovely day yesterday and the entire family and many of her friends enjoyed the day very much.
It felt wonderful when my daughter thanked me at the end of the day yesterday.

Got up early to take me to a procedure. It was her first day of vacation and she didn't hesitate to spend part of her day waiting for me. I am grateful for her positivity and don't ever want to take her for granted.
A responsible person to drive post anesthesia is required. She too must have these procedures so understands the anxiety and discomfort associated with it. The fact that I don't have to explain or talk about it is nice.

Grateful to A for listening and me while I discussed a tricky friend situation with him. A was supportive and encouraging as I described to him the situation and how I was thinking of resolving it. And, he gave me some caring, thoughtful advice.
I feel more comfortable attempting to resolve and reconcile this friendship.

I was teasing my stepdaughter about where the two of us learned to foreground and prioritize seemingly intractable ambiguities when it dawned on me that so much of the most meaningful and best executed parts of my life’s work were directly inspired by a required humanities course I failed twice at a college I flunked out of twice.
I suddenly saw the power to absorb what’s important even while ostensibly failing. And for that I’m truly grateful.

I am grateful for my access to a COVID safe pool and a swim buddy so that I can practice my aquatherapy.
I am grateful for the abundance of valuable information now available on-line ... specifically yesterday with the focus on nutrition.
I can increase my strength, flexibility, and general well-being through exercise and diet.

I enjoyed jogging in the cool morning air. It is great place to recenter and be ready for life. I am thankful for an online church service I joined after the jog on joy and acceptance and accepting the bad with the really good.
It keeps me centered

I bought OTC COVID rapid test kits for 2 grandchildren home from college so they could be tested before going to grandma's house for Christmas Party. My mom was very thankful. She was afraid to ask and I assured her it was no problem and the grandkids thought it was a good idea.
I felt like I was doing the right thing.
